ABOUT US

Susan E. Lursen (slursen@cpaslk.com) graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1984 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She gained valuable experience while working for national accounting firm in the audit department. She became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1986.

In 1989, Susan began her own accounting firm, and works with small businesses of all types of industries – including: nonprofits, retail, wholesale, construction, and service industries. She also provides a full range of services to individuals. Her services include: financial statement preparation, income tax planning and preparation, estate tax planning and preparation, and business consulting.

James A. Keck (jkeck@cpaslk.com) graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked for a local accounting firm for two years and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986. James moved to the wholesale and retail gasoline industry for three years before starting his own practice in 1989. He has been involved with a variety of small businesses and has helped clients in the convenience store and wholesale gas industry for twenty years. James has experience in small business financial statement and income tax preparation, estate and trust returns as well as individual returns.
